About David A.
David A. Schulenberg combines a background in history and entrepreneurship with a law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. He earned a B.S. in History and Entrepreneurship from Northern Kentucky University before completing his J.D. in 2011. His academic route gave him both context for how institutions and markets develop and the legal training he would use in court.
After law school, Schulenberg moved into private practice in Kentucky. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and holds admissions in federal courts that serve the eastern part of the state. Those federal admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the same region.
Schulenberg maintains memberships in the Kentucky Bar Association and the Northern Kentucky Bar Association. He participates in the local bar community and keeps current with developments affecting state and federal practice. His court admissions allow him to handle matters at both the state and federal level when clients’ needs require it.
He operates the Law Office of David A. Schulenberg, a private practice that represents clients in the region. The office handles filings in state court and the federal courts to which he is admitted. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing filings and attentive to procedural requirements.
In day-to-day practice Schulenberg blends his undergraduate interests and legal training. He approaches matters that involve financial restructuring, creditor-debtor issues and federal litigation with an eye for the factual history that led to the dispute. He serves both individual and business clients who require representation before state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. His current practice focuses on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and related federal matters.
