About Dave

Dave Kinskey built his academic foundation at Harvard University, where he earned a B.A. in economics in 1979. He moved from the study of markets to the study of law, completing a J.D. at the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1982. Those years on campus set the stage for a long career in private practice.

After law school, Kinskey entered the legal profession at a time of change and growth for the bar. He spent decades representing clients in a variety of matters, working in both advisory and courtroom settings. Over more than forty years in practice he has handled complex filings, courtroom appearances and negotiated resolutions, adapting his approach as the law and local economies evolved.

Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers clear thinking over catchphrases. He takes a practical approach to problem solving and emphasizes preparation. In depositions and hearings he has relied on careful fact work and steady advocacy rather than headline-making rhetoric. That steadiness has been a through-line in his work from early practice to the present.

Kinskey has combined experience counseling clients with hands-on trial work. He has navigated the procedural shifts that shape modern litigation and has guided clients through negotiation and dispute resolution processes. His background in economics informs his attention to financial detail, and his legal training in Wyoming shaped his grounding in state and federal procedure.

Today he practices at Kisling Law, LLC. At the firm he concentrates on the daily practice of law for individual and business clients, handling a mix of advisory work and litigation matters. He maintains an active role in case preparation and client counseling while continuing the practical, fact-driven approach that has defined his career.
