About Darcel
Darcel Lobo built her legal foundation at Seattle University School of Law, earning her J.D. in 2009. She moved from law school into practice in the same year, joining Marine View Law & Escrow as an associate. The transition from campus to courtroom was swift and deliberate.
Her early work at Marine View Law & Escrow gave her practical exposure to client work and transactional matters. After several years gaining experience, she started her own practice. In 2016 she opened DAL Law Office and took on the responsibilities of owner and lawyer. Running a small firm reshaped how she approaches cases and clients. It also changed how she balances legal work with administrative duties.
Lobo pursued specialized training that informs how she resolves disputes. She holds a Collaborative Law Certification from King County Collaborative Law. That credential signals an interest in negotiated and non-litigious resolutions. It complements other parts of her practice and offers an alternative to courtroom contests.
Outside the office she has been active in professional organizations. She has maintained membership in the State Bar of Washington and the Loren Miller Bar Association since 2009. She joined the Washington State Bar Association Executive Committee in 2019 and continues to serve there. Her involvement in bar groups has included leadership posts closer to home as well. She served as co-chair of the Solo and Small Firm Section of the King County Bar Association from 2017 to 2018, and she was president of the South King County Bar Association from 2016 to 2017.
Community work has been part of her professional life. Since 2019 she has been a director of the Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce. She also belongs to the Mother Lawyer Mentoring Association, a group she joined in 2009. Her civic and bar activities reflect an interest in mentorship, local business issues and the practical needs of solo practitioners.
Colleagues describe her as steady and practical in managing client matters. The day-to-day at DAL Law Office requires juggling casework with firm management. That combination has influenced how she allocates time and structures client relationships.
She currently practices at DAL Law Office, handling collaborative law and dispute resolution in family-related matters.
