About Daniel
Daniel Vedra built a path to law that began in Colorado classrooms and moved through finance into legal practice. He earned a B.A. in economics and history from the University of Colorado–Boulder in 2004, then returned to Denver to complete his J.D. at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2011. Those academic choices set a foundation in analysis, policy and the practical demands of regulation.
While in law school Vedra combined classroom study with hands-on legal work. He served as a student lawyer in the Environmental Law Clinic, tackling client problems that involved statutes, permits and administrative process. He worked as a research assistant for faculty, including projects with Professor Robert Hardaway, where he contributed to doctrinal and policy research. These roles gave him early exposure to legal research and the mechanics of environmental and administrative law practice.
Before and during his legal training Vedra also spent time in the financial sector. He was an individual consultant for TIAA-CREF in 2005 and worked as a loan officer for Aurora Loan Services under the Lehman Employee Loan Program in 2006. Those positions brought familiarity with loan documentation, financial review and client counseling in a commercial setting. The combination of finance experience and legal training shaped a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Vedra began his post-law school practice at Hatch Ray Olsen Sandberg LLC in 2011. He moved on to establish Vedra Law LLC in 2013 and has practiced there since. His work has included client representation, legal research and counseling across matters that draw on his prior clinic and finance work. He has handled case preparation, filings and client advisement in state-level matters.
Coloado is his admitted jurisdiction, and his professional background spans litigation support, transactional review and regulatory matters. He has maintained ties to academic legal work through research roles and has used clinic experience to inform how he evaluates administrative records and statutory requirements. Those skills influence how he evaluates risk and structures solutions for clients.
His practice balances research-intensive tasks with direct client work. He aims for clear explanations and practical next steps when advising clients. He currently practices at Vedra Law LLC, where his work centers on matters that draw on his environmental law experience and financial services background.
