About Daniel
Daniel Petrov built a legal path that began in the classrooms of San Diego State University and led to his own firm. He earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration from San Diego State in 2004. Three years later he received his J.D. from California Western School of Law. The degrees set a clear course toward trial work and advocacy.
After law school Petrov entered practice in California. He spent the early years of his career learning the practical demands of litigation and claim handling. In 2011 he founded Petrov Personal Injury Lawyers. He has led that firm since its founding, overseeing case strategy, client intake and courtroom work when trials are required.
Petrov’s work centers on personal injury law. He represents people injured in car collisions, slip-and-falls and other incidents that produce serious physical and financial harm. He handles insurance negotiations, prepares cases for trial and pursues damages on behalf of clients. He also manages the procedural work that often accompanies litigation, such as filings, discovery and motions practice.
Those who work with him describe a hands-on approach to file management. He meets with clients, reviews medical records and consults experts when cases require technical explanation. He also interacts with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel, aiming to resolve claims through settlement where that makes sense and to take cases to court where it does not.
Petrov practices solely in California. His office structure includes a presence in Oceanside, CA, and he maintains operations under the Petrov Personal Injury Lawyers name. He holds current memberships in professional organizations that serve lawyers and the civil justice system.
Outside the office he has remained connected to developments in tort law and civil procedure through continuing legal education and routine participation in the professional community. He balances casework with the administrative duties of running a firm, supervising staff and coordinating outside consultants and medical professionals.
Today Petrov continues to lead Petrov Personal Injury Lawyers, representing injured people across California and overseeing cases from intake through resolution. His current practice focuses on personal injury matters in the state of California.
