About Daniel
Daniel Moore earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America before returning to the same campus to complete his legal studies. He received his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 1980. The combination of a humanities undergraduate degree and a law degree shaped a methodical approach to legal analysis early in his career.
After law school, Moore built a long career in Maryland. He practiced in the state for many years and handled a range of matters that drew on both courtroom work and advisory tasks. Those years established him as a familiar figure in Maryland legal circles and provided steady exposure to local courts and regulatory processes.
In 2023 he joined Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP as Of Counsel. That role placed him alongside the firm’s roster of litigators and advisors, contributing senior-level judgment on matters that required a measured, experience-based perspective. His arrival at the firm represented a continuation of a multi-decade practice rather than a departure into unfamiliar territory.
Moore is admitted to practice in Maryland and has spent the bulk of his professional life working in that jurisdiction. He has handled client matters that span contentious and non-contentious work, often drawing on procedural and substantive knowledge tailored to state law. Colleagues say he is steady in the courtroom and deliberate in preparing cases and counseling clients.
Outside of casework, Moore’s education in philosophy informs his legal reasoning. He tends to approach facts and law by separating assumptions from conclusions and testing arguments on their merits. That background influences how he frames legal positions and how he evaluates risk and strategy for the people he represents.
As of 2026 Daniel Moore remains Of Counsel at Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP, practicing in Maryland and advising clients on legal matters arising in the state. His current practice focuses on representing and counseling clients on matters before Maryland courts and administrative bodies.
