About Daniel
Daniel Gruhn is a dedicated personal injury attorney based in Racine, Wisconsin. He joined Ludwig, Gruhn, & Wishau, S.C. in May 2023, bringing with him a experience in personal injury and family law. Prior to this partnership, Mr. Gruhn founded Gruhn Law Office LLC in January 2007, where he focused primarily on personal injury cases and family law matters. His extensive background in these areas gave him the skills necessary to advocate for his clients. Before establishing his own practice, Mr.
Gruhn worked as an associate litigation attorney at Corneille Law Group LLC in Madison, Wisconsin. During his tenure there, he defended insurance companies and their clients against various civil lawsuits. These cases often involved allegations of personal injuries stemming from incidents such as car accidents and slips and falls, as well as complex medical malpractice claims. This experience provided him with a knowledge of the legal field surrounding personal injury law. Mr. Gruhn earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he developed a strong analytical foundation. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at the University of Wisconsin Law School, further enhancing his legal expertise.
He is licensed to practice in all Wisconsin state courts and in the U.S. District Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. This broad licensure allows him to represent clients across various jurisdictions, ensuring they receive the best possible legal support. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Gruhn has been actively involved in his community. He has served as a Racine County Court Commissioner since 2012, where he plays a critical role in the judicial process. From 2017 to 2020, he was appointed as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for the best interests of children in family law cases.
He also obtained a Family Mediation Certificate from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and is a member of The Divorce Cooperation Institute, which enhances his mediation skills in family law disputes. Mr. Gruhn is a member of several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Racine County Bar Association, and the Kenosha County Bar Association. His commitment to community service is evident through his role on the Union Grove Elementary School Board since 2019, as well as his dedication to coaching local youth in baseball and basketball. Additionally, he is a lifelong member of the Racine Instinctive Bowmen.
