About Daniel
Daniel Findling built his legal foundation at Wayne State University. He completed a Bachelor of Public Affairs in 1993. He returned to Wayne State for law school and earned his J.D. in 1997.
He moved into practice in Michigan shortly after finishing law school. In 1997 he became a partner at Findling Law and has been associated with the firm ever since. That steady tenure is the backbone of his career. Over the years he has taken on a range of matters for clients in the state and maintained a steady presence at the firm.
Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic. He approaches cases in a straightforward manner and tends to prioritize clear communication with clients. His courtroom experience and work behind the scenes reflect the kind of daily legal work that keeps a small or mid-sized practice running: preparing documents, advising clients, and presenting arguments when necessary.
Findling’s career has unfolded entirely in Michigan. That local continuity informs his practice. He understands procedural expectations in state courts and the practical rhythms of legal work in the area. He also draws on long-standing professional relationships developed over multiple decades in the state.
Outside of casework, he has maintained his role at Findling Law rather than moving into large firm or corporate roles. Remaining at a firm that bears his name suggests he values the firm-level responsibilities that come with partnership: managing client matters, mentoring junior attorneys, and handling administrative duties that keep a practice operational.
His educational background and years in practice make him a familiar figure to peers who have handled similar work in Michigan. The pattern of graduating from a local law school and establishing a long-term practice at a named firm mirrors the career paths of many attorneys who prefer to build local roots rather than pursue national platforms.
He continues to practice at Findling Law. His current work is focused on serving clients through the firm’s Michigan-based practice, where he handles the legal matters that arrive at the office and represents the firm in the local legal community.
