About Daniel C.
Daniel C. Matern trained at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, earning his J.D. in 2015. He left law school prepared for courtroom work and for the practical demands of representing people in criminal cases. His education is the foundation of a practice that has centered on criminal defense since he entered the profession.
He began his practice in 2015 as the principal of the Law Offices of Matern and Associates. Two years later he established White & Matern, PLLC, where he continues to serve as owner and lawyer. Those moves mark a quick progression from a solo practice to running a small firm that handles state and federal matters.
Matern is admitted to practice in Utah and in the Tenth Circuit. He represents clients in state courts and appears in matters that proceed to federal court under the Tenth Circuit’s jurisdiction. Public recognition includes a listing from Expertise among the Best Criminal Defense Lawyers in Ogden.
