About Dana L.
Dana L. Oglesby is a partner at Jackson & Oglesby Law LLC and a regular presence in bankruptcy practice in Indiana and Kentucky. She has built a practice that combines courtroom work, case management and client counseling. Colleagues describe her as steady and methodical; clients see an attorney who explains options clearly and follows through on the work.
Oglesby’s academic path began at the University of Evansville, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and sociology in 2005. She then attended Valparaiso University School of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 2008. Those years placed her in the mid-2000s wave of lawyers who entered practice during a turbulent period for consumer finance and bankruptcy law.
Her first professional position after law school was at Geraci Law, LLC, where she joined the firm in 2008. By 2011 she had moved to Macey & Aleman as a lawyer. Later that same year she became a partner at Jackson & Oglesby Law LLC, a role she continues to hold. That progression shows a fast transition from associate roles into a leadership position at a firm that maintains multiple offices across central Indiana.
Oglesby is admitted to practice in Indiana and Kentucky and holds admission to the U.S. District Court for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Indiana State Bar Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association since 2008, the American Bar Association since 2008, the Kentucky Bar Association since 2010, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys since 2011. Those memberships reflect ongoing engagement with peers and continuing education in the areas that most affect her work.
Jackson & Oglesby Law lists offices in Castleton, Indy West, Greenwood, Anderson and Muncie, and Oglesby splits her time among those locations as client needs and court calendars require. She handles courtroom appearances, creditor negotiations and bankruptcy filings. Her current practice centers on consumer bankruptcy and related matters.
