About Dan-Phi Vu
Dan-Phi Vu Nguyen graduated from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2010. He finished law school at a time when many graduates faced a tough job market. Nguyen moved into public service soon after, entering local government legal work.
In 2011 he joined the Harris County Lawyer's Office as an Assistant County Lawyer. That role put him inside the machinery of county government early in his career. He spent those years handling day-to-day legal matters for the office and developing practical courtroom experience.
After nearly a decade that began in public service, Nguyen transitioned to private practice. He worked as an associate at Flowers Law Office in 2019 and then at Proffitt and Associates in 2020. Those positions exposed him to the demands of private client work and firm-based litigation.
Later in 2020 he launched The Law Office of Dan-Phi V. Nguyen, PLLC and took on the role of owner and managing lawyer. Starting a firm required him to balance casework with administrative duties. He built a small practice and oversaw its operations while continuing to represent clients.
Nguyen’s career spans both public-sector and private practice settings. He has experience in courtroom proceedings, client counseling and the business side of running a law office. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in approach and steady under pressure. He maintains licensure in Texas and practices in state courts there.
He now practices at The Law Office of Dan-Phi V. Nguyen, PLLC, where he manages the firm and represents clients across Texas.
