About Dan
Dan Mazzio built his path to the law in Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Longwood University in 2004. Three years later he received his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law.
After law school he entered practice in Virginia and has worked in the field of injury law. Over the years he has handled cases that involve personal harm from accidents and negligent conduct. He has experience taking cases through the stages common to litigation: investigating claims, developing evidence, negotiating with insurers and, when necessary, litigating in court.
Colleagues describe Mazzio as methodical in his preparation. He approaches claims by building factual records and relying on standard legal tools to press for recovery. He works with medical experts and investigators to document injuries and causation. He also handles the practical side of managing cases, from client communications to coordinating depositions and discovery.
Mazzio’s training at the University of Richmond provided classroom instruction in advocacy and professional responsibility. His undergraduate degree from Longwood preceded that and helped shape his early professional interests. He is licensed to practice in Virginia and maintains ties to the legal community there.
He is a member of professional circles where trial lawyers and plaintiff attorneys exchange information and strategies. That involvement keeps him current on developments in tort law and trial practice. He combines that continuing involvement with day-to-day case work, balancing routine file tasks with courtroom readiness.
Today he practices at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers. His caseload typically includes automobile collisions, premises liability claims, and other injury matters that can result in serious physical and financial consequences. He represents clients who seek compensation after accidents and works to move cases forward efficiently while protecting clients’ interests.
Mazzio handles both the investigative and advocacy sides of injury cases. He focuses his practice on obtaining compensation for people harmed in accidents and related incidents at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers.
