About Dan
Dan Chiorean took a path to law that began in engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2003 and later completed a J.D. at Tulane University School of Law in 2012. Those two degrees reflect a mix of technical training and legal education that shapes how he approaches problems.
After law school, Chiorean built his practice in Louisiana. He is admitted to practice in that jurisdiction and joined local legal circles soon after. By 2013 he was a member of the New Orleans Bar Association, and he remains active there. His early involvement in community organizations dates to at least 2012, when he began volunteering with Evacuteer and took on responsibilities as a Logistics Captain.
Chiorean has combined volunteer work and legal practice in ways that show a practical approach to service. At Evacuteer he has managed logistical planning for evacuations and public events, a role that draws on his engineering background as much as his legal judgment. In the New Orleans Bar Association he has kept steady participation in committee activities and local programs since joining.
He practices at Odom & Des Roches, LLC. At the firm he applies analytical methods learned in engineering to case preparation and courtroom strategy. Colleagues describe him as methodical: he breaks complex matters into components and addresses each in turn. That trait can be useful in litigation where detail and timing matter. The combination of technical training and legal education also helps when cases involve contract interpretation, discovery disputes and coordination among experts.
Outside the office, Chiorean’s volunteer commitments continue to inform his professional perspective. His work with Evacuteer has involved collaboration with city agencies and neighborhood groups on planning and safety issues. Those experiences provide a different lens on risk management and community impact, and they sometimes intersect with the kinds of legal questions his clients raise.
He remains based in Louisiana and active in the New Orleans legal community. He is an attorney at Odom & Des Roches, LLC, where his practice involves the firm’s civil litigation matters.
