About Dalia
Dalia Labrador arrived at law through a path that crossed finance, business and courtroom training. She studied finance as an undergraduate, earned an MBA overseas, and then returned to the United States to complete law school. The mix of business and criminal law training has shaped the early arc of her career.
Labrador holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of South Florida, completed in 2010. She later earned an MBA from the University of San Pablo CEU in 2014. She completed her legal studies at Chicago-Kent College of Law, receiving a J.D. in 2017. Her years in law school included courtroom-side experience and clinic work that exposed her to a range of criminal matters.
As a law student Labrador took practical roles that emphasized criminal defense and public-sector work. She served in the Criminal Defense Clinic at Chicago-Kent, worked in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in both the Narcotics Unit and the First Municipal division, and externed for a federal judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She also completed law clerk assignments at private firms and at a criminal defense practice, gaining experience in research, motion work and client interviews.
After law school she moved into staff and associate positions. In 2018 she worked as a staff lawyer at Ryley Carlock & Applewhite and as an associate lawyer at the Colorado Legal Defense Group. Those roles followed a series of clerkships and student-practice placements and marked her transition into full-time practice. Her work history shows sustained engagement with criminal defense matters as well as exposure to broader litigation practice.
Labrador is licensed to practice in Colorado and Illinois. She has been a member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Public and Legal Services section since 2018 and joined the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar in 2019. That affiliation pattern corresponds with the kinds of cases and clinics she handled during her legal education.
She now practices at Garscin Law P.C., where her background in defense clinic work, prosecutorial offices and private law clerkships informs her case approach. Her practice spans the two state jurisdictions where she is admitted. She currently concentrates her practice on criminal defense and related litigation matters.
