About Dai

Dai Rosenblum built his legal foundation at Vassar College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts before moving on to law school. He completed his J.D. at the USC Gould School of Law and pursued graduate tax studies at Georgetown University Law Center. Those studies came together at the start of a long career in tax law.

He entered practice after finishing his legal education in the late 1970s and began handling the kinds of tax matters that require both technical knowledge and courtroom poise. Over the years he has worked on disputes that touch individual and business taxation. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the United States Tax Court, an admission that shapes much of the work he takes on.

Rosenblum’s career has been steady rather than flashy. He has moved between advisory work and contested proceedings, advising clients on obligations and representing them in dispute settings where federal tax rules and procedure intersect. That mix has given him a practical sense of what courts expect and what clients most need when a tax matter moves beyond paperwork and into litigation.

Colleagues describe his approach as methodical. He breaks complex statutory and procedural issues into their parts and addresses each in turn. That habit suits tax work, where small errors in calculation or timing can have outsize consequences. It also informs how he prepares matters for the Tax Court, where written submissions and clear record-building matter as much as oral argument.

Outside the courtroom, Rosenblum’s background in both general law and taxation informs advisory engagements. He counsels individuals and small businesses on compliance decisions, offers guidance on dispute resolution options, and prepares filings that meet the procedural demands of tax tribunals. His practice has required staying current on changes in tax rules and the ways courts interpret them.

Today he works primarily on tax controversies and planning matters, handling client needs that arise at the intersection of state practice in Pennsylvania and proceedings before the Tax Court. He maintains an active practice focused on advising individuals and businesses on tax controversies, planning and compliance.
