About Daesik
Daesik Shin trained at Georgia State University College of Law and earned his J.D. in 2013 after beginning law school in 2010. He completed the classroom work, clinics and research that law school demands, and left with the practical skills needed to advise clients and handle contested matters.
Shin moved from the academic setting into private practice. He has spent his career at a firm environment, applying the routines and discipline of legal work—research, drafting, negotiation and courtroom preparation—to the matters that come through the office. Colleagues describe him as methodical in approach and careful in assessing options for clients.
In daily practice he handles the steady stream of tasks that define modern lawyering. He prepares pleadings, negotiates settlements and appears for hearings. He places emphasis on clear writing and disciplined case management. That combination helps keep complex matters organized as they move through discovery and toward resolution.
Clients value plainspoken explanations. Shin avoids legalese when possible. He lays out the risks and trade-offs inherent in a decision. He also puts priority on deadlines and routine practices that prevent avoidable setbacks. Those are practical habits that matter in litigation and transactional work alike.
Beyond individual matters, Shin participates in firm strategy and mentoring. He regularly collaborates with colleagues on case plans and shares techniques he has developed for drafting and case organization. He also takes part in training newer lawyers at the firm, helping them build courtroom and drafting skills.
He practices at Meriwether & Tharp, LLC. His current practice focuses on client counseling, dispute resolution and the everyday legal work that supports business and personal matters at the firm.
