About Cynthia Ariel

Cynthia Ariel Conlin built a career that moves from newsroom training to courtroom practice. She studied journalism at the University of Central Florida, earning a B.A. in 2002 in news and editorial writing. She then enrolled at Florida A&M University College of Law in 2004 and received her J.D. in 2007. Those two paths — reporting and law — shape how she approaches complex facts and tight deadlines.

Early in her professional life she combined research and advocacy. After law school she entered private practice and, by 2010, was serving as the lead lawyer at Cynthia Conlin & Associates. That role put her in charge of case strategy, client intake and courtroom preparation. It also required managing the day-to-day operations of a small firm while handling contested matters in state and federal forums.

Conlin holds authorization to appear in Florida and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She maintains memberships in the Orange County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. Those ties keep her connected to local court developments and to colleagues in the federal bar.

Her background in journalism informs how she frames a case. She tends to prioritize clear, concise pleadings and careful documentation. On the stand and at settlement talks, she relies on precise questioning and evidence that has been vetted against a reporter’s instinct for verification. The combination of editorial training and legal education results in a methodical practice style rather than a showy one.

The practice at Cynthia Conlin & Associates addresses matters that arise in both Florida courts and federal appellate proceedings. She has handled client representation, courtroom filings and appeals procedures, and she continues to manage the firm’s legal work. Colleagues describe her approach as practical; clients receive direct guidance on the steps required in litigation and appeals.

Outside the courtroom she remains involved in bar activities and the professional networks that surround Orange County’s legal community. That engagement helps her stay current on procedural rules and appellate practice. She continues to serve as lead lawyer at Cynthia Conlin & Associates, representing clients in matters before Florida and federal courts where she is admitted to practice.
