About Cynthia Ann
Cynthia Ann Mexia built her legal foundation at Western University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2007. She continued her studies at Whittier Law School and received her J.D. in 2011. Those years combined classroom training with courtroom exposure and prepared her for the practical demands of practice in California.
Her early legal work included a judicial externship at the Orange County Superior Court in 2009. That placement preceded a 2010 law clerk position at the Orange County District Lawyer’s Office and a 2011 clerkship at The Children’s Rights Clinic at Whittier Law School. Each role offered different perspectives on litigation, client advocacy and courtroom procedure.
After law school she moved into private practice. In 2011 she joined Higbee & Associates as an associate lawyer. In 2014 she became an associate at Hittelman Strunk Law Group, LLP, a firm where she continued to handle litigation and client matters. In 2021 she worked as a lawyer at STRUNK LOOS. That sequence maps a steady progression from clerkships and public-service work into varied roles at private firms.
Her work history shows consistent engagement with litigation and case management. In government and clinic settings she assisted with case preparation and courtroom tasks. In firm settings she supported clients through dispute resolution and courtroom appearances. Colleagues describe her as someone who understands both procedural detail and the practical needs of clients. She has experience guiding matters from investigation through filing and trial preparation.
In 2022 she added teaching to her professional life as an adjunct professor at The Colleges of Law. That role put her in front of students and gave her an opportunity to translate courtroom practice into classroom instruction. Students encountered a teacher who brought recent practice experience into legal studies and connected doctrinal learning to everyday work in court and office settings.
Today she remains licensed to practice in California and balances teaching responsibilities with active legal work. Her practice reflects years of courtroom experience, clerkship training and firm-based litigation, and she maintains a professional presence in both academic and legal settings in California.
