About Curtis
Curtis Crider built his legal foundation at two Florida institutions. He holds a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and a B.S. from Florida State University College of Law. Those degrees set the stage for an early start in courtrooms and law offices across the state.
He began his professional legal career in 1996 as a law clerk at Koch & Harrington, P.A., where he handled research and drafting tasks that supported trial work. The clerkship offered a close look at case preparation and courtroom procedure. It was a practical bridge from classroom study to daily practice.
In 1997 he joined the Sixth Judicial Circuit as an Assistant State Lawyer. In that role he worked on prosecutions and court appearances, gaining firsthand courtroom experience. The position required managing files, preparing pleadings, and presenting matters before judges and juries. It also deepened his familiarity with Florida’s trial courts and local practice norms.
By 2000 he moved into private practice as a partner at Bauer Crider Pellegrino & Parry. His partnership expanded his responsibilities. He took on client counseling, case strategy and oversight of litigation tasks. Over time his work at the firm has involved supervising other lawyers and participating in firm-level decision making.
Crider is a member of The Florida Bar and the Clearwater Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in Florida. Those memberships keep him connected to local and statewide legal developments and the professional networks that shape day-to-day practice.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as pragmatic and prepared. He approaches cases with an emphasis on thoroughness and predictable process. He has handled matters that require courtroom presence and those that demand detailed preparation behind the scenes. His experience spans public service and private practice, giving him perspectives on both prosecutorial work and defense-side strategy.
Throughout his career he has remained based in Florida courts. He continues to handle matters that arise under state law and within local jurisdictions. He currently concentrates his practice on matters in Florida state courts.
