About Curt

Curt Hamilton studied political science and history at Duke University, graduating in 1987. He earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1992, where he concentrated on trial practice. The law school years left him comfortable in courtrooms and probing the mechanics of trial work.

He began his legal career in the mid-1990s. His early roles included associate positions at Deardorff & Associates and later at Neel, Wilson & Clem. By 2000 he was a partner at Morton & Bach and in 2004 he joined Bach Hamilton LLP as a partner. In 2011 he opened Curt Hamilton Injury Law and remains the firm’s owner. Over three decades he moved steadily from associate to partner to firm owner.

Hamilton holds membership in bars across three states and two federal circuits. He has been a member of the Ohio State Bar since 1995 and joined the Kentucky and Indiana bars in 1998. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th and 7th Circuits. Those credentials reflect years spent handling matters that required appearances in both state and federal forums.

On the professional front he maintains associations that connect courtroom work to broader trial-law interests. He belongs to the Kentucky Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. His involvement in those groups runs alongside local civic ties. He has served as a director and secretary of the Henderson Community Foundation and sat on the Henderson Family YMCA board. He was active in the Henderson Chamber of Commerce as vice president for public policy between 2008 and 2013, and he has been involved with the Henderson Lions Club since the late 1990s. He is also listed as a member of KYNDLE’s Economic Development Council.

Hamilton’s practice has centered on injury matters. His background in trial practice from law school translated into handling claims that reach both negotiation and courtroom phases. Over the years he has represented clients in state courts across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, and in federal appellate proceedings when cases have required that level of review. Colleagues and community partners describe him as someone who spends time on the nuts and bolts of a case and on local civic institutions alike.

He operates out of Curt Hamilton Injury Law, the firm he opened in 2011. He represents clients in personal injury matters as part of his current practice focus.
