About Crystal R.
Crystal R. Lloyd built a legal path that moves between tribal, state and federal systems. She balances courtroom experience, time inside a tribal judiciary and years representing injured people.
She earned both a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from the University of Washington, completing those degrees in 2004. She then attended Seattle University School of Law and received her J.D. in 2012. Those studies set the stage for work that spans estate matters on tribal lands and contested civil claims in state and federal courts.
Her early professional years were varied. In 2004 she worked as an adjuster for Safeco Insurance Company, a role that gave her an understanding of how insurers evaluate claims. While in law school she served as a tribal estate planning intern with the Swinomish Tribe in 2011 and clerked at the Tulalip Tribal Court the same year. Those positions exposed her to issues that are distinct to tribal governance and probate.
After passing into private practice she joined Herrmann Law Group as a senior associate in 2014. There she handled litigation and client advocacy, developing trial experience and managing a caseload that included serious injury claims. Over time she shifted toward representing individuals rather than insurers, applying both negotiation and litigation skills to pursue recovery for clients.
In 2022 she opened Lloyd Injury Law, PLLC and practices as owner and lawyer. The firm is built on the mix of perspectives she gathered across her career: claims handling, tribal court work, and civil litigation. She appears in Washington state courts, the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit. She is also admitted to practice in Tulalip Tribal Court.
Outside courtrooms she participates in professional groups. She has been a member of the Washington State Association for Justice since 2014 and joined Washington Women Lawyers in 2017. She also holds memberships in the Snohomish County Bar Association and the American Bar Association, both since 2022. Those affiliations keep her connected to developments in litigation and trial practice.
Her practice centers on representing people injured in accidents and pursuing civil claims across state, federal and tribal forums. She now runs Lloyd Injury Law, PLLC where she represents clients in personal injury matters in Washington and in applicable federal and tribal courts.
