About Craig
Craig Sams earned his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2012 after completing undergraduate studies at Belmont University. He entered the legal community in the early 2010s and built a local practice grounded in the everyday disputes that reach county courthouses. His academic record led to steady involvement in Dayton’s legal circles soon after graduation.
He is admitted to practice in Ohio and has been an active member of the Dayton Bar Association since 2012. He also joined the Dayton Bar Association’s Family Law Committee the same year, a sign of the area of practice that would occupy much of his career. Sams has worked in different office settings, including association with Kirkland & Sommers and maintaining an office under his own name. Those roles have placed him in regular contact with family law dockets and county court calendars.
Sams handles a range of family law matters. He represents clients in divorce proceedings, issues of child custody and parenting time, spousal and child support, and related domestic-relations concerns. His work involves negotiation of settlements, preparation for contested hearings, and the drafting of agreements and court filings. He appears before local judges and manages the practical steps that follow changing family circumstances, from temporary orders to long-term resolutions.
Colleagues and court staff commonly encounter him at hearings and meetings in the Dayton area. His memberships in the local bar and the family law committee have kept him connected to procedural changes and local practice norms. He maintains files at an office associated with Kirkland & Sommers and at a separate business address under his own name, providing clients with options for consultations and representation.
Sams’s practice is centered in Ohio, where he handles client matters in the Dayton region and surrounding counties. He spends his time preparing cases, negotiating resolutions, and appearing at hearings when required. He currently represents clients in family law matters in Ohio.
