Craig A. Knapp built a foundation in both business and law before he ever opened a firm door. He earned a B.S. from Arizona State University in 1986, then moved on to Saint Louis University School of Law where he received his J.D. in 1990. He returned to the classroom for graduate business study and completed an MBA at the University of Arizona in 1992.
Those three degrees shaped a career that combines legal training and commercial sense. Knapp practices in Arizona and has structured his work around the practical needs of clients and the operational demands of running a law practice. He has worked as a lawyer through changing economic cycles and legal trends, and he brought that perspective to the firm he helped found.
Knapp is a founding partner of Knapp & Roberts, PLC. He helped create the firm’s foundation and has been involved in its development from its earliest days. His role there has included both case work and the responsibilities that come with managing a private practice.
Early in his career he focused on building a broad skill set. His law degree provided the doctrinal groundwork. The MBA added courses in finance, management and organizational behavior. Those elements inform how he evaluates legal problems and advises clients. He is comfortable addressing matters that require careful attention to both legal detail and business implications.

Outside of court files and client conferences, Knapp has maintained ties to Arizona’s legal community. He holds a license to practice in Arizona and has spent the bulk of his professional life working in the state. His academic background and long-term residence there give him familiarity with local business conditions and regulatory environments.
Today he continues at Knapp & Roberts, PLC, handling matters for clients across Arizona and overseeing the firm’s work. His current practice centers on providing legal services to businesses and individuals through the firm he co-founded.
