Coy H. Browning is the founder and managing attorney of Browning Law Firm, P.A., located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Established in 2003, the firm has carved out a niche in personal injury law, focusing particularly on automobile accidents. With over two decades of legal experience, Mr. Browning has successfully secured millions of dollars in jury verdicts and settlements for his clients. Browning served as a State Trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol from 1994 to 1999. During this time, he investigated over 1,000 motor vehicle accidents, gaining invaluable insights into the details of traffic laws and accident dynamics. This extensive law enforcement background equips him with a unique perspective when representing clients in personal injury cases—an advantage that sets him apart from many attorneys in the field. Mr. Browning earned his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2001. His academic achievements include graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Charleston Southern University in 1993. While at Charleston Southern, he was recognized as a preseason All-American linebacker and was inducted into the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004.

Admitted to practice law in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, Mr. Browning is an active member of several professional organizations. In 2008, he served as president of the Okaloosa-Walton Bar Association, showcasing his leadership within the legal community. His involvement extends beyond law; he has contributed to the All-Sports Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting youth athletics in the region.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Browning authored "The Driver’s Handbook to Car Accident Cases in Florida: 10 Potholes That Can Wreck Your Injury Claim," published in 2009. This work supports his educating the public on handling the requirements of personal injury claims. He is also a member of the National College for DUI Defense, further enhancing his expertise in various aspects of law. Residing in Fort Walton Beach with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children, Isla Grace and Tice, Mr. Browning enjoys cooking, biking with his children, snow skiing, and boating.
