About Corey Michael

Corey Michael Day earned his law degree from the University of California, Davis, School of Law, completing his J.D. in 2016 after beginning his studies in 2013. He arrived at law school after undergraduate work and entered the legal profession in California following graduation. His academic record at Davis Law placed him among a generation of attorneys who came of age professionally during a period of rapid change in legal practice and court procedure.

Day built his early career practicing in California. He joined a law firm environment where courtroom work, client counseling and document drafting were day-to-day responsibilities. Over time he developed practical experience in litigation and case management. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and direct in his courtroom presentations. He has handled matters that required coordinated filings, witness preparation and procedural strategy.

In addition to courtroom appearances, Day’s work has included negotiating settlements and advising clients on procedural risks. He spends a considerable portion of his time drafting pleadings, motions and legal memoranda. That hands-on experience gives him familiarity with the demands of calendar management and discovery oversight. He also has experience interacting with regulatory and administrative bodies when matters require agency engagement.

Clients and peers have noted Day’s attention to deadlines and his willingness to take on complex scheduling when cases require it. He approaches client matters with a practical view of risk and remedy. That approach informs both litigation planning and settlement discussions. In meetings and conferences he aims to clarify options for clients and identify the most efficient path toward resolution.

Outside of day-to-day casework, Day has kept up with continuing legal education and the procedural developments that affect state court practice. He maintains professional ties within the California legal community and participates in firm-level efforts to coordinate case strategy and resource allocation. His routine includes mentoring junior associates and sharing practical tips on briefing and deposition preparation.

Corey Michael Day practices law in California and is a member of Murphy Campbell Alliston & Quinn. His current practice centers on litigation, client counseling and handling matters in California courts and administrative forums.
