About Corey G

Corey G Calvano built a professional life in two very different kitchens before he moved into courtrooms. He trained in classical French cuisine in the 1990s and later returned to the classroom for degrees in philosophy, history and law. The path is unusual but it shaped how he approaches problems: practical, detail-oriented and orderly.

Calvano earned a culinary certificate from the Connecticut Culinary Institute in 1997. He later completed a B.A. in Philosophy and History from Our Lady of the Lake University, conferred in 2013. He finished law school at Charlotte School of Law, taking his J.D. in 2016. Those three steps mark a steady progression from trade craft to liberal arts to legal training.

After law school he became active in the Central Texas bar community. Records show membership in the Comal County, Hays County and San Antonio Bar Associations beginning in 2017 and continuing to the present. Participation in local bar groups has anchored his work in the region and provided regular contact with county-level judges and court staff. He has taken on cases that require coordination with local officials, court-appointed professionals and family members.

Calvano holds a Guardianship Certification from the State Bar of Texas. That credential covers the statutes and procedures that govern guardianship and protective proceedings. It underscores an interest in matters that involve adults who need decision-making assistance and the court processes that protect their interests. The certification also requires ongoing education, which keeps him current on legislative and procedural changes in that area of law.

His background in the culinary trades also shows up in his practice style. He values preparation and timing. He pays attention to sequencing and to the small steps that add up to an effective result. Those habits translate into how he handles filings, client meetings and interactions with opposing counsel.

Calvano practices law in Central Texas and remains involved in the bar associations for Comal, Hays and San Antonio counties. He brings a practical approach shaped by years in different professions, and he keeps his Guardianship Certification active. His current practice focuses on guardianship matters.
