About Clinton E.

Clinton E. Parish built his legal foundation through successive degrees at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and an earlier undergraduate education in history. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of Puget Sound in 1997, a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law in 2000, and an LL.M. in Government and Public Policy from McGeorge the following year. That combination of law and public policy shaped his early approach to public service.

After completing his graduate work, Parish moved into prosecutorial roles in California. He joined the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office as a deputy district attorney in 2002. In that role he handled courtroom work, case preparation and the daily demands of a county prosecutor’s calendar. The work exposed him to trial practice and to the procedural and evidentiary issues that define criminal prosecutions.

A decade later Parish took a similar post in Tuolumne County, serving as a deputy district attorney in 2012. There he continued to refine courtroom skills and to manage a range of criminal matters. Those years in two different county offices gave him experience with varying case loads, local court cultures and the practical realities of county-level prosecutions.

In 2013 Parish left government employment and opened a solo practice, operating as the Law Office of Clint Parish. He is listed as owner and sole lawyer. The shift from the public sector to private practice moved him to the other side of the courtroom dynamic. It also placed responsibility for case intake, client counsel and the administrative demands of running a solo firm squarely on his shoulders.

Parish’s academic training in government and public policy complements his prosecutorial background. The LL.M. provided analytical frameworks for understanding statutory design and administrative processes. His undergraduate study in history contributes to a broader sense of context when examining facts and precedent. Parish is licensed to practice in California and has built his career entirely within that jurisdiction.

Today he operates the Law Office of Clint Parish as a solo practitioner. His practice draws on his years in district attorney offices and on his graduate work in public policy, and centers on matters that reflect that experience in California courts.
