About Cliff Scott

Cliff Scott Schneider earned his law degree from Yeshiva University’s Cardozo School of Law in 2003, after completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Florida in 2000. His time in law school coincided with a period of shifting legal landscapes in New York, and his education provided a foundation in both doctrinal study and practical skills training that would shape his early career.

After graduating, Schneider concentrated his professional efforts in New York. He is admitted to practice in that jurisdiction and has built a practice grounded in the procedural and substantive demands of litigation and counsel in the state. His path led him into private practice, where he took on both client advisory work and courtroom responsibilities.

Schneider rose through the ranks at his firm to become a managing partner at Cohen Schneider & O Neill LLP. In that role he oversees case strategy, supervises teams of attorneys and staff, and is involved in business and operational decisions for the firm. He combines hands-on legal work with the administrative tasks required to run a mid-size firm, splitting time between client matters and leadership duties.

Throughout his career Schneider has maintained professional connections in the New York legal community. He holds membership in the New York City Bar Association, where he engages with peers on developments in law and policy. Those relationships have informed how he evaluates risk for clients and how he prepares teams for litigation and transactional matters.

Colleagues describe Schneider as methodical in his preparation and direct in his courtroom presentation. He is known for parsing complex factual records and building arguments that reflect a careful assessment of legal precedent. His practice has required familiarity with motion practice, discovery management and negotiation, and he has guided clients through both contested proceedings and settlements.

Outside of casework, Schneider has handled the managerial responsibilities that come with partnership. That includes mentoring younger lawyers, overseeing training programs, and shaping firm practices that affect client service and case management. He balances those duties while maintaining an active docket.

Today he continues to lead at Cohen Schneider & O Neill LLP and to represent clients in New York. His current practice concentrates on litigation and related client counseling in the state.
