About Christy

Christy Kellerhals earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in 2013. She arrived at law school after a period of work and study that sharpened her interest in the everyday legal problems people face. The degree provided a practical legal education rooted in state and federal practice, and she left prepared to begin a client-facing career.

Her early years as a lawyer were spent building a steady foundation. She moved into practice roles that required both written and oral advocacy. Those assignments tested her ability to analyze statutes, prepare pleadings and counsel clients through uncertain situations. Over time she added transactional work to her toolkit, handling contracts, negotiations and the kinds of paperwork that keep businesses and households moving.

Professionally, Kellerhals has maintained active ties to a professional association. That membership has afforded continuing legal education and a network of colleagues across specialties. She has used those resources to stay current on case law and procedural developments. Colleagues describe her as deliberate in court preparation and careful in client communications.

Her courtroom experience is balanced by attention to out-of-court solutions. She has participated in mediations and settlement conferences and prefers to explore options that resolve disputes without prolonged litigation when doing so makes sense for a client. At the same time she will litigate when the facts and law require a firm, methodical approach. Her practice has involved both drafting strategy and managing case logistics from start to finish.

Clients have relied on her for clear, direct explanations of often-complex legal issues. She is known for breaking problems into manageable steps and for keeping clients informed about deadlines and likely outcomes. That practical orientation extends to transactional matters, where attention to detail can prevent future disputes.

Outside of casework, Kellerhals has engaged in professional development and community-oriented activities through her association work. She attends seminars, contributes to practice-area discussions and mentors newer attorneys when opportunities arise. These efforts reflect an attorney who invests time in continual learning and in sustaining professional ties.

As of 2026 she maintains a general practice that combines client counseling, advocacy and transactional work, handling a range of legal matters for individuals and small organizations.
