About Christopher
Christopher Strang earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2005. He built his legal foundation there and later remained involved with the school as an alumnus leader. Early classroom training gave way to hands-on practice in state and federal courts.
He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Strang is a partner at Strang, Scott, Giroux & Young, LLP, where he has been part of the firm's leadership. The firm listing names him as a partner and the role frames much of his day-to-day work.
Strang completed mediation training through Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and holds a certificate of completion. That credential informs how he approaches contested matters and settlement discussions. It is one of several professional steps he has taken to expand the tools he brings to client matters.
Professional association work has been a recurring theme in his career. He served as chair of the New Lawyers Section of the Boston Bar Association from 2008 to 2010. Later he led the Boston University School of Law Alumni Association as its president in 2014–2015. From 2016 to 2018 he served as treasurer of the Boston Bar Foundation. Those roles reflected an interest in bar governance and supporting legal institutions in the city.
Colleagues describe him as engaged in the civic and professional life of Boston’s legal community. His leadership posts included responsibilities for programming and finances, and they connected him to newer lawyers as well as more senior practitioners. He has remained active at his firm while participating in bar-related projects and alumni activities.
Today he practices from the Boston area as a partner at Strang, Scott, Giroux & Young, LLP. He regularly appears in matters brought in Massachusetts courts and in filings before the First Circuit. He uses his mediation training in efforts to resolve disputes outside the courtroom and in settlement negotiations. He continues to maintain roles in professional organizations and to handle client matters through his firm.
