About Christopher Ron

Christopher Ron Smith built his legal foundation at the University of Georgia, where he earned a B.S. in economics in 1991. He went on to receive his J.D. from Atlanta Law School in 1994. Those years set a practical tone for a career spent primarily in Georgia courts and in the federal system.

Early in his career Smith entered private practice and began appearing before state appellate panels and trial courts. Over time he expanded his courtroom work to include the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia. He is also admitted to practice in the Eleventh Circuit, allowing him to handle appeals that traverse state and federal lines. He holds membership in the Fayette County Bar Association and participates in the local legal community.

His work has involved both trial and appellate litigation. He has prepared briefs, argued appeals, and managed cases through the various stages of litigation in Georgia courts. Those experiences have required steady attention to procedure, an eye for record development, and the ability to craft concise appellate arguments when a case moves beyond the trial level. Smith’s courtroom practice reflects that mixture of trial preparation and appellate advocacy.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in the courtroom and straightforward with clients. He tends to break complex procedural and substantive issues into clear steps for judges and juries. That approach is most visible in matters that require close reading of precedent or careful preservation of issues for appeal. He keeps a practical focus on outcomes rather than rhetoric.

Smith operates from a small firm structure under the name C. Ron Smith Lawyer at Law, LLC, where he maintains an office serving clients in the region. He represents clients in state courts and in the federal Eleventh Circuit, handling litigation that requires both trial-level work and appellate practice. His current practice centers on litigation and appellate work in Georgia and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
