About Christopher Randolph
Christopher Randolph Jr earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at Vanderbilt University in 2007. His academic record put him on a path into federal appellate work early in his career. He moved from law school into a judicial clerkship that shaped his approach to legal research and writing.
He served as a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Pryor Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. That clerkship provided exposure to complex appellate procedure and to the ways judges frame and decide contested legal questions. After his clerkship years, he took a position in private practice and by 2015 was working at Hare, Wynn, Newell & Newton, LLP.
Randolph is admitted to practice in Alabama and in multiple federal courts. His federal admissions include the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, and he is admitted to practice before the Eleventh, Eighth and Fifth Circuits. Those credentials allow him to pursue matters at both the trial and appellate levels across a broad geographic area.
He maintains active professional memberships. He belongs to the Alabama Association for Justice and serves on both its Amicus Committee and its Journal Committee. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Birmingham Bar Association. These affiliations connect him to peers across practice areas and to resources for appellate and trial practice.
At Hare, Wynn, Newell & Newton, LLP he has combined his appellate experience with courtroom work in federal and state forums. Colleagues describe him as meticulous in preparing briefs and attentive in court. He has handled filings in multiple districts and several circuit courts, reflecting the multi-jurisdictional nature of his admissions.
His practice has moved between appellate advocacy and litigation in trial courts, and he continues to file and argue matters in both arenas. He works with clients and co-counsel in proceedings that span district and circuit courts. He currently practices at Hare, Wynn, Newell & Newton, LLP and focuses his current practice on litigation in Alabama and federal courts.
