About Christopher

Christopher Nicolaysen earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2001 and later completed his J.D. at the University of Denver in 2013. Those academic steps bridged a gap between a liberal-arts undergraduate education and formal legal training. Along the way he augmented classroom learning with practical trial instruction through the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

After law school, Nicolaysen built a practice in Colorado. He is licensed to practice in that state and holds memberships in the Colorado Bar Association and the El Paso County Bar Association. He has kept one foot in professional organizations, attending local bar activities and programs that sharpen courtroom skills and procedural knowledge.

Nicolaysen’s training at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy is a recurring thread in his work. The program is known for hands-on trial exercises. He has applied that training to civil and courtroom matters handled through his firm. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in the courtroom. He favors clear organization of evidence and straightforward presentation of points to judges and juries.

His career has been anchored at Springs Law Group. There he has handled matters that arise in Colorado courts and administrative settings. The firm listing shows Nicolaysen associated with Springs Law Group across its office listings. He has combined his trial training and bar involvement to support the firm’s work on contested matters.

Outside the courtroom, Nicolaysen’s professional activity has centered on continuing legal education and participation in bar events. He maintains current membership in local and state bar groups. Those memberships provide access to case law updates, practice tools, and opportunities to engage with peers about procedural and substantive developments.

Today Nicolaysen practices at Springs Law Group and represents clients in matters filed in Colorado courts and administrative forums. He continues to use trial training from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy as part of his courtroom work and professional development.
