About Christopher

Christopher Ktenas trained at Chicago-Kent College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2014. He arrived in law school after an earlier course of study and left prepared for courtroom work and client counsel. The law school’s curriculum and the Chicago legal market shaped his early approach to practice: practical, direct, and attentive to the details that matter in litigation and transactional matters.

After graduation he established his practice in Illinois. He spent a significant portion of his career at Best, Vanderlaan & Harrington, rising to the role of partner there. That period of his career included managing cases, supervising associates and engaging with clients across the state. Colleagues describe him as steady under pressure and pragmatic in assessing risk, preferring clear options to elaborate theory.

Ktenas’s work reflects steady involvement in matters that require close legal analysis and careful client communication. He handles courtroom appearances and negotiated resolutions, and he has focused on handling disputes that touch on business and personal affairs in Illinois courts. He is comfortable both in motion practice and at trial, and places priority on clear, readable briefs and timely client updates.

In recent years he shifted toward a practice that emphasizes direct client service through a smaller office structure. He founded Ktenas Law to create a practice model that allows more hands-on work with each client. The office handles an array of matters for individuals and businesses, and it accepts cases across the state’s jurisdictions. As an attorney who has worked in both larger firm and boutique settings, he brings an understanding of firm administration as well as client-side responsiveness.

Outside the courtroom he has been involved in mentoring younger attorneys and in the practical tasks of running a law office. He remains active in the Illinois legal community and maintains relationships with practitioners across the region. He keeps up with changes in local rules and procedural developments so clients receive current advice. He currently maintains his practice through Ktenas Law and focuses on providing legal services to clients in Illinois.
