About Christopher Jason
Christopher Jason Perkins built his legal foundation in the Southeast. He earned a B.A. from Mercer University in 1997 and completed his J.D. at the University of Georgia School of Law in 2000. Those years anchored an early interest in courtroom practice and professional bar activity that has remained visible throughout his career.
After law school, Perkins began practicing in Georgia and quickly became involved in the state's trial and claimant communities. He joined the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association in 2000 and has maintained membership there. His engagement extended to regional groups as well, including the West Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, where he has been a member since 2008.
Perkins has combined practice with organizational work. He has served on the board of the Georgia Legal Foundation since 2005. Between 2008 and 2012 he was a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association’s Verdict Editorial Board, taking part in editorial oversight and contributing to the association’s communications. Those roles placed him in regular contact with fellow trial lawyers and with continuing-education efforts that feed into courtroom practice.
A notable strand of Perkins’s career is his multi-year leadership in the Workers Compensation Claimants Lawyers. He served as Secretary from 2008 to 2012, advanced to President Elect from 2012 to 2014, and held the presidency from 2014 to 2016. In those positions he helped manage the association’s business and programming during a period of steady activity. The sequence of roles reflects sustained engagement with workers’ compensation issues and with the professional network that supports claimants’ attorneys in Georgia.
Throughout his career he has balanced courtroom work and association responsibilities. Memberships in trial-focused groups and long-standing board work suggest a practice that values both advocacy and professional development. He has participated in forums and editorial projects aimed at improving the quality of trial practice in the state.
Perkins continues to practice law in Georgia. His practice centers on workers’ compensation and trial litigation, and he remains involved in the state’s trial lawyer community.
