About Christopher
Christopher Jansen earned his J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2013. He entered the legal profession after completing law school, bringing years of experience in the public sector to his work as an attorney. His academic record reflects a traditional path into practice, followed by steady involvement in the Indiana legal community.
Jansen began his public service career well before law school. In 2002 he served as a juvenile probation officer with the Noble County Probation Department. That experience gave him day-to-day exposure to court procedures, case management and the realities faced by families and young people involved in the justice system. The job shaped his view of how the law operates outside textbooks and courtrooms.
After receiving his law degree, Jansen launched Christopher Jansen Law LLC in 2013. He has practiced under that firm name since then. His practice is based in Indiana and he maintains active membership in both the American Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar. Those affiliations connect him to broader legal developments and state-level professional networks.
Jansen is a registered domestic mediator in Indiana. That certification allows him to serve in a neutral role on family law matters and other disputes where mediation is appropriate. His background as a juvenile probation officer and as an attorney informs his approach to mediation. He has practical experience handling sensitive conversations and managing the procedural aspects of resolving conflicts outside of trial.
Colleagues describe Jansen as methodical. He approaches cases with routines and procedures that reflect his time in government work. He applies that same practical bent to client matters. Instead of grand theories, he relies on clear steps, careful documentation and direct communication.
In the courtroom and at the negotiating table, Jansen draws on a decade-plus of practice. He has handled matters across the civil and family law spectrums common to small firm practice in Indiana. He balances litigation tasks with alternative dispute resolution, often switching roles between advocate and neutral mediator depending on the needs of a case.
Today Jansen continues to operate Christopher Jansen Law LLC. He is active in bar organizations and holds his domestic mediator registration. He currently focuses his practice on serving clients in Indiana through a mix of representation and mediation services.
