About Christopher J.
Christopher J. Salcido earned his J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2005 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at Utah Valley University in 2000. He moved from academic study to legal practice over a period shaped by courtroom work and teaching. The combination of those experiences frames how he approaches complex matters today.
Salcido has been a member of the Utah State Bar since 2008 and has maintained active standing. He opened Salcido Law Office PLLC in 2008 and has practiced there as a lawyer since that year. He is admitted to practice in Utah and in several federal jurisdictions, including the Tenth Circuit and the Federal Circuit, allowing him to represent clients in both state and federal forums.
His practice includes litigation in state courts and appeals in federal courts. He handles procedural and substantive issues that arise at different stages of a case. That work often requires attention to appellate procedure and federal filing rules, areas where his court admissions are directly relevant.
Beyond casework, Salcido has remained involved in legal education. He has served as an adjunct professor at Eagle Gate College and Provo College since 2008 and has sat on the advisory board for Eagle Gate’s Paralegal Studies program since 2009. He also presents legal seminars for Brigham Young University. Those roles keep him connected to evolving practice trends and to the next generation of legal professionals.
He belongs to a range of professional organizations. His memberships include the Utah State Bar, the Salt Lake County Bar Association, the Central Utah Bar Association, the American Bar Association and its Section of Business Law, the American Association for Justice, and the Utah Association for Justice. He maintains those memberships to stay current on practice developments and to engage with peers across different parts of the profession.
Salcido operates offices under the Salcido Law Office name in multiple Utah locations, including Provo and Ogden, where he meets with clients and manages litigation. He holds an active Utah bar license and continues to balance courtroom work, appellate filings and classroom instruction. His current practice is based at Salcido Law Office PLLC and serves clients in state and federal courts.
