About Christopher J
Christopher J. Hinckley built a legal foundation through public education and early courtroom work. He earned a B.S. in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida in 2004. He went on to receive his J.D. from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2007. Those years set the stage for immediate entry into practice.
His first role after law school was at the Fifth Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office in 2007. There he represented clients charged with criminal offenses and handled matters from arraignment through trial. The bench-to-bar experience sharpened his litigation skills and gave him steady exposure to courtroom procedure and client counseling.
In 2009 he joined Morgan & Morgan as a lawyer. At the firm he moved into a different practice environment, working within a larger team and managing caseloads that required coordination across departments. The transition from a public defender's office to a busy private firm offered new perspectives on case management, negotiation, and preparing matters for trial.
Over the course of his career he has been active in professional circles. He holds membership in the Florida Justice Association, an organization that brings together trial lawyers across the state. Participation in that group has kept him connected to developments in state law and to peers who handle litigation in many courts.
His background spans public-sector criminal defense and private-practice litigation. That mix gives him experience on both sides of common courtroom tasks: client intake, pretrial motions, evidentiary hearings, and trials. Colleagues note that the trajectory from a public defender's office to a national firm provided steady growth in both case complexity and procedural responsibility.
Outside the courtroom he has navigated the administrative demands of a modern practice. Managing filings, working with expert witnesses, and coordinating discovery are regular parts of his workload. He also mentors newer attorneys and staff within the firm, bringing the practical lessons of early courtroom work to younger lawyers.
He now practices at Morgan & Morgan. His practice centers on litigation and courtroom advocacy.
