About Christopher

Christopher Collins built a law career that moves between courtrooms and clerks’ chambers. He studied history at Washington & Lee University before enrolling at Liberty University School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2016. His academic background informs a methodical approach to legal writing and case analysis.

He began his career as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Alabama in 2016. That year in a judicial chamber taught him how appellate arguments are shaped and how precedent is applied. He then served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Lawyer for the Commonwealth Lawyer of Danville, Virginia in 2017, handling matters in the regional court system and gaining trial experience.

In 2018 he joined Glenn Feldmann Darby & Goodlatte as an associate. There he worked on litigation that crossed state and federal lines, and he gained experience preparing briefs, arguing procedural motions, and conducting discovery. Those years reinforced his interest in appellate work and federal court practice.

Collins is admitted to practice in Virginia and before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the D.C. Circuit. Those admissions reflect a practice that spans both trial-level work and appeals. He has handled matters that required careful record development and then transitioned those records into appellate briefs. Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as precise and deliberate in court filings and oral argument.

Today he is a principal at Yugo Collins, PLLC. His practice combines trial litigation and appellate advocacy in Virginia and federal courts. He represents clients in cases that often require close attention to procedural detail and persuasive written advocacy. His current practice centers on litigation and appellate matters in Virginia and before the Fourth and D.C. Circuits.
