Christine Marie Stouffer is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2005. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Stouffer is the founder and principal attorney at Stouffer Law, a law firm located at 2000 Hearst Avenue, Suite 401, Berkeley, California. She has been practicing law for over 20 years, focusing exclusively on immigration law and serving clients throughout the greater Berkeley and Oakland metropolitan areas.

Ms. Stouffer earned her Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2005, where she participated in the Honors Lawyering Program with a focus on Immigration Law and was involved with the Public Interest Law Foundation. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Washington, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies in 1998. Her academic background has provided her with a strong foundation in understanding complex immigration issues and the diverse cultural contexts of her clients.

Ms. Stouffer's practice areas include permanent residency, naturalization, deportation defense, family visas, and political asylum. She represents individuals and families at all stages of the immigration process, from initial applications to appeals and motions to reopen before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court. Her work encompasses various legal stages, including hearings, appeals, litigation, negotiations, and trials, ensuring comprehensive support for her clients.

Throughout her career, Ms. Stouffer has handled cases in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the San Francisco Immigration Court. Prior to founding Stouffer Law, she worked as an Interim Staff Attorney for the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights in San Francisco with their Pro Bono Asylum Program and as a Staff Attorney for Arab American Legal Services, part of the San Francisco Immigrant and Legal Education Network. These experiences have equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by immigrants and the complexities of immigration law.

Ms. Stouffer is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild, where she has served as co-chair for the organization's Immigration Committee. She has also served as pro bono co-coordinator for AILA's Northern California Chapter and as EOIR co-liaison to the San Francisco Immigration Court for AILA's Northern California Chapter. Ms. Stouffer is fluent in English, French, Arabic, and Spanish, allowing her to effectively communicate with a diverse clientele. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer from 2019 to 2026 and as a Rising Star from 2012 to 2015, reflecting her dedication and expertise in the field of immigration law.
