About Christine Elaine
Christine Elaine Burke earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Delaware before completing her law degree at Rutgers University–Newark. Her academic path combined a broad undergraduate education with professional legal training in New Jersey. That foundation prepared her for practice in both state and federal courts.
After law school Burke entered private practice. Over the course of her career she has maintained admissions in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is authorized to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Those credentials reflect work that spans trial and appellate matters rather than a single courtroom setting.
Her courtroom work includes litigation in state trial courts and federal district courts. She has also been involved in appellate filings and oral argument in multi-jurisdictional matters. Burke handles pleadings, motions, and briefs, and she has experience preparing cases for trial and for appeal. She approaches each matter by concentrating on the procedural and substantive steps required to advance a client’s position in court.
Burke practices at Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti, P.C., a firm with multiple offices where she handles cases that arise across different jurisdictions. At the firm she collaborates with colleagues on motions practice, discovery disputes, and appellate work. Her role requires coordination with clients, opposing counsel and court personnel in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania venues.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and steady in court, preferring direct practical work over public profile. She balances the demands of trial calendaring with the deadlines of appellate briefing. Outside of active litigation, her work involves reviewing lower-court records and identifying issues suitable for appeal.
Burke is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is admitted to the Third Circuit. She maintains an active litigation practice through Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti, P.C., handling matters that proceed in state courts, federal courts and on appeal before the Third Circuit. Her current practice covers litigation in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and before the Third Circuit.
