About Christina Marie

Christina Marie Turovskiy built a path to immigration law through studies in accounting, language and then law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Spanish from Case Western Reserve University in 2011. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University College of Law in 2014. The combination of numbers and languages shaped an early interest in practical problem solving and communication across cultures.

While still in law school, Turovskiy sought hands-on courtroom experience. In the summer of 2013 she served as a volunteer legal intern at the Cleveland Immigration Court. That placement exposed her to the mechanics of removal proceedings and the day-to-day work of immigration adjudication. She also worked as a student associate in the Civil Litigation Clinic in 2013, where she handled civil matters under supervision and learned trial preparation and client counseling skills.

Those formative positions informed the kind of practice she chose after graduation. She joined Hammond Law Group, LLC, where she has concentrated on immigration matters. Her practice includes administrative work before immigration agencies and representation of noncitizens in court settings. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing cases and attentive to document accuracy, traits that trace back to her accounting training.

Turovskiy has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2012. That connection has kept her current on policy developments and changes to immigration procedure. She has used the association’s resources to refine litigation strategies and to stay informed about shifting federal guidelines that affect clients’ options.

Her work often involves explaining complex immigration rules to clients who are unfamiliar with U.S. procedure. She balances technical legal tasks—filing petitions, briefing issues before immigration judges, assembling evidence—with the more human aspects of client contact. In court, she draws on the writing and advocacy practice gained in law school clinics and internships.

Turovskiy is licensed to practice in Ohio and carries out her work from Hammond Law Group’s office. Her caseload ranges from relief applications to defense in removal proceedings. She maintains an active practice addressing immigration law matters at Hammond Law Group, LLC, where her current practice focuses on immigration cases.
