Christina Marie Shaffer is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California in 2004. She holds and maintains an active license status. Ms. Shaffer is the principal attorney at the Law Office of Christina Shaffer, located at 100 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Suite 132, Thousand Oaks, California. She has been practicing family law for over 22 years, serving clients throughout Ventura County and the surrounding areas.
Ms. Shaffer earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of La Verne College of Law in 2004. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society. During her time at UCSB, she participated in Moot Court competitions and interned for local judges, gaining practical experience in the legal field.
Ms. Shaffer specializes in family law, handling cases such as divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division. She is skilled in both mediation and high-conflict litigation, assisting clients in reaching out-of-court settlement agreements as a certified collaborative family law attorney. Throughout her career, Ms. Shaffer has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She has also appeared before the California Superior Courts in Ventura County and Los Angeles County. Prior to establishing her own firm, she worked as an associate attorney at a family law firm in Ventura County for several years.
Ms. Shaffer is an active member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She holds membership in the Collaborative Family Law Professionals of Ventura County, where attorneys and parties work together to resolve cases without legal conflict or court battles. She has been recognized with several awards, including the NAWBO Bravo 2019 Award for Community Advocate of the Year and the Ventura County Star Reader’s Choice Award for Best East County Law Office in 2018.
