Christie D. Arkovich earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1992. She entered the legal profession at a time of change in both consumer and employment law. Over more than three decades she has kept pace with those shifts while building a practice rooted in courtroom work and client advocacy.
Her career is centered in Florida, where she is admitted to practice and also appears in federal court across the state. Her federal admissions include the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Middle Districts of Florida. That combination of state and federal permissions allows her to handle matters that move between forums.
Arkovich maintains an active presence in professional circles. She holds memberships in the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers, the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, the National Association of Employment Lawyers and the National Association of Consumer Advocates. Her practical experience spans consumer bankruptcy and related consumer advocacy work, as well as employment law matters. Over the years she has handled cases that required coordination between bankruptcy rules and employment or consumer statutes. Today she practices at Arkovich Law. The firm serves clients in matters arising under bankruptcy statutes, consumer-protection statutes and employment law. Procedures, deadlines and jurisdictional issues are familiar terrain; she works through them on behalf of clients who need counsel in these areas.
Outside of litigation and casework, she participates in the local and national organizations that shape practice standards and continuing education.
