About Christian

Christian Ayers earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2014. He arrived at law school prepared for practical courtroom training and the rigors of legal research, and completed his degree at a time when many young attorneys stepped quickly into active litigation roles.

After law school, Ayers established a practice spanning two neighboring jurisdictions. He is licensed to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina. That dual licensing has allowed him to work on matters that arise on either side of the state line and to address procedural and substantive issues that differ between the two systems.

Ayers joined the North Carolina Advocates for Justice in 2014 and has remained a member since. The association membership signals regular engagement with continuing legal education and with a professional community that discusses trial practice, evidence, and advocacy techniques. He has used those resources to stay current on state rules and to refine courtroom strategies.

At Sellers Ayers Dortch Lyons, PA, Ayers operates from the firm’s offices and contributes to a team-based practice. His role there places him among attorneys who manage case preparation, client counseling, and courtroom presentation. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing filings and persistent in pursuing procedural remedies when necessary.

Clients come to Ayers for representation in matters that require attention to state-specific rules and timelines. He spends much of his time drafting pleadings, negotiating procedural matters, and appearing in hearings. He also coordinates with other counsel when cases touch both North Carolina and South Carolina law, ensuring that filings align with each jurisdiction’s requirements.

Outside of court and the office, Ayers follows developments in state law and attends legal education programs through the Advocates for Justice and other professional forums. He maintains an active practice at Sellers Ayers Dortch Lyons, PA, serving clients in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
