About Chris
Chris Stevens graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2017 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Appalachian State University in 2013. He completed a traditional law school course of study and entered the profession at a time when many young lawyers were adapting quickly to digital workflows and evolving client expectations. His undergraduate background in business informs the practical angle he brings to legal problems.
He began his legal career at Deuterman Law Group in 2017 as an associate lawyer. In that role he worked on matter preparation, legal research and client communications typical of early-career associates. Colleagues say he learned the operational side of practice early, handling document drafting and courtroom preparation under senior supervision. The position gave him steady exposure to the day-to-day demands of running client matters and collaborating inside a law firm environment.
Stevens is licensed to practice in North Carolina. He has continued to work inside the state since completing law school, building familiarity with local rules and procedures. That continuity has allowed him to stay grounded in the practical elements of case management and client service that regional practices rely on.
He holds membership in professional associations and maintains ties to the legal community. Those memberships provide regular opportunities for professional development and peer interaction. Within his role at the firm, he has contributed to internal discussions about efficient case handling and compliance with procedural updates that affect practice across the state.
Stevens works out of Deuterman Law Group’s offices. His time at the firm spans the period immediately after law school through the present. He divides his practice between the firm’s multiple locations and coordinates with colleagues to manage client matters efficiently. He currently practices at Deuterman Law Group, serving clients across North Carolina.
