About Chris

Chris Reel is an attorney licensed to practice in both Ohio and Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communications from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2012 and went on to receive his J.D. from Capital University Law School in 2015. Those years framed his move from communications into law and set the stage for his work across two state jurisdictions.

Reel’s undergraduate study emphasized message craft and audience engagement. He arrived at law school with that background and completed his legal training in 2015. The combination of communications and law gives him a practical lens for explaining legal options and handling client conversations.

After law school he gained admission to practice in Ohio and later secured licensure in Florida. He holds current membership in the Ohio State Bar. Maintaining credentials in two states has shaped the way he approaches cases and client relationships. It requires attention to differing rules and procedures and a readiness to coordinate across systems when matters cross state lines.

He practices from The Reel Law Office. The office serves clients who present matters that arise under Ohio and Florida law. Reel handles the work that comes through that office, from initial consultations to case preparation and court filings when necessary. He works directly with clients and manages the practical steps of litigation, negotiation, and transactional work as their matters require.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and clear in his explanations. He prioritizes making legal issues accessible to people who may be facing them for the first time. That practical approach carries through to the way he organizes files, prepares pleadings and lays out options for clients.

Outside of casework, he keeps his professional standing current through bar membership and routine practice obligations. He also follows changes in state rules that affect practice in Ohio and Florida. He continues to serve clients from The Reel Law Office, handling matters that arise under Ohio and Florida law.
