About Chris
Chris Cain earned his law degree from Regent University School of Law in 2002. He moved into practice in California and built a practice centered on two practical areas of everyday legal need. His path to private practice took shape over the first decade after law school and by 2011 he was operating under his own name.
In 2011 he opened Chris Cain Law. The office name appears on matters that reach local courts and administrative agencies. Cain’s day-to-day caseload has been concentrated on immigration matters and defense of traffic tickets. He handles client intake, case preparation and representation in hearings that arise from those kinds of matters.
Cain has been part of the local bar community for many years. He has been a member of the Monterey County Bar Association since 2010. That membership places him in regular contact with colleagues who practice across a range of civil and criminal fields in the county.
Clients who bring immigration questions or traffic citations to Cain encounter a lawyer accustomed to working in environments where schedules are tight and facts matter. He has guided people through administrative processes and contested hearings. His practice tends to emphasize pragmatic solutions—resolving a citation, filing necessary paperwork, or representing someone at a hearing—rather than courtroom spectacle.
The office has handled matters across jurisdictions within California. Cain’s record in the public record consists mainly of routine docket activity and client representation rather than widely publicized precedent-setting litigation. That kind of work can be less visible but it is frequent and consequential for the people involved.
Outside of individual casework, Cain’s participation in the county bar reflects an interest in remaining engaged with peers and staying current on changes that affect day-to-day practice. He continues to work from Chris Cain Law and to accept matters where immigration status or traffic-related enforcement is at issue. His current practice concentrates on immigration cases and defense of traffic tickets.
