About Cherie
Cherie Fine graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1981. She earned her J.D. that year and began her legal career soon after. The early decision to move directly into practice set the tone for a steady, long-running career in Florida law.
Her first position was as an associate at Watson, Folds, Steadham, Sproull, Christmann, & Brashear, P.A., where she started in 1981. Those formative years were spent learning the daily demands of a law practice. She worked on the kinds of files that teach young lawyers how to manage deadlines, draft pleadings, and advise clients under pressure.
Over time she moved into roles that carried more responsibility. In 2003 she became a partner at Fine, Farkash, & Parlapiano, P.A. That step marked a shift from employee to firm leader. As partner, she shared in case strategy, client oversight, and some aspects of firm administration. Her work required balancing casework with the tasks that keep a small firm running.
