About Cherie

Cherie Fine graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1981. She earned her J.D. that year and began her legal career soon after. The early decision to move directly into practice set the tone for a steady, long-running career in Florida law.

Her first position was as an associate at Watson, Folds, Steadham, Sproull, Christmann, & Brashear, P.A., where she started in 1981. Those formative years were spent learning the daily demands of a law practice. She worked on the kinds of files that teach young lawyers how to manage deadlines, draft pleadings, and advise clients under pressure.

Over time she moved into roles that carried more responsibility. In 2003 she became a partner at Fine, Farkash, & Parlapiano, P.A. That step marked a shift from employee to firm leader. As partner, she shared in case strategy, client oversight, and some aspects of firm administration. Her work required balancing casework with the tasks that keep a small firm running.

Colleagues describe her as steady and pragmatic. She has spent her career practicing in Florida and has handled matters for clients in the state. She spends a large portion of her time on direct client work. She also advises less experienced attorneys at the firm on case management and courtroom procedure. That mix of client representation and internal mentorship is common among lawyers who have practiced across multiple decades.

Her resume shows continuity rather than frequent moves. She remained in private practice from the outset of her career and advanced within that setting. The transition from an associate role at a multi-name firm in 1981 to a named partner position in 2003 reflects that trajectory. It is a path that emphasizes sustained practice and institutional knowledge of how firms operate in Florida.

Today she is based at Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A. Her work involves representing and advising clients in Florida on a range of legal matters. She continues to practice at the firm and remains active in client representation in the state.
