About Chelsie Marie
Chelsie Marie Lamie built a career that moves from insurance rooms to the courtroom. She studied psychology at the University of Tampa, earning a B.A. in 2000, then took her law degree from Stetson University College of Law, finishing in 2007. Those two degrees shape how she evaluates cases and how she talks to juries.
Her first work in the field was on the other side of many personal injury fights. In 2002 she handled auto and general liability claims as an insurance adjuster for Zurich Insurance. After law school she spent time in insurance defense at Scarborough Hill Rugh in 2007. The following year she took a position at Perenich Caulfield Avril Noyes. By 2009 she had joined Rebein Bangerter Rebein, where she continued handling trial work and learned how plaintiffs’ and defendants’ strategies differ at trial.
In 2016 she opened the Personal Injury Law Office of Chelsie M. Lamie, P.A., bringing that inside knowledge to people harmed in accidents. Her courtroom work emphasizes trial preparation and direct advocacy. She has handled a variety of personal injury matters and has tried cases on behalf of accident victims.
Her background includes work beyond the courtroom. She trained as a rape crisis counselor at the Suncoast Center, a role that informs how she assists clients facing sensitive injuries. That counseling work complements her litigation practice and affects how she approaches client care and evidence related to trauma.
Lamie has been active in professional organizations for many years. She graduated from the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in 2015 and remains connected to that network. She served on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association from 2015 to 2019 and returned to the board in 2022. She was a member of the Florida Justice Association from 2009 to 2022 and served on The Florida Bar’s Judicial Administration and Evaluation Committee from 2014 to 2019.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe her as a lawyer who knows both sides of a case. That perspective comes from years spent shifting roles: from adjuster to defense attorney to plaintiff trial lawyer. She maintains an active trial practice in Florida and concentrates her work on representing people injured in accidents.
She currently practices through the Personal Injury Law Office of Chelsie M. Lamie, P.A., representing injured clients and pursuing trial remedies on their behalf.
